I am a strong believer in documenting your pregnancy as it's such a special time in a woman's life and it should be celebrated. If you are not completely convinced yet, let me give you 7 reasons why I think it's a wonderful idea to have a pregnancy photoshoot.

Time to bond with your partner

Pregnancy can be hard not only on the expecting mother, but on her partner too. The changes that happen during those 9 months can affect both of the partners, in different ways. One of the most wonderful things about maternity sessions is the interactions between couples as they celebrate this new life they've created. A photo session is a chance to pause and reflect on this new stage in your life, and this new baby you are bringing into this world. It is a great way to mark your transition from a couple into a family.

Celebrate your body

Pregnancy can be really hard on some women, and even if you do feel amazing during your pregnancy, chances are there are moments when you don't feel your best. After all, creating a new life can take its toll on your body. But however you feel about yourself during those 9 months, the undeniable fact is that your body is AMAZING and it's doing AMAZING things. These maternity images represent everything you have gone through up to this point and it's worth celebrating.
